Eloquence 64-bit for NVDA now supports a 44 kHz mode. It’s currently in preview and still being fine-tuned.
You can use the Sample Rate combo box in the Voices dialog to increase the default rate from 11 kHz to 44 kHz for clearer speech.
Unlike the 22 kHz mode in IBMTTS and ViaVoice, this mode doesn’t introduce pops, jitters, or unexpected voice resets.

Hey @Bri@fwoof.space Any chance, if doable at all, of modifying FastSM's behavior? Currently if you log into a Bluesky account successfully, but have a rather slow or less than optimal internet connection, like mine, it forces to repeat the whole log-in process yet again. This continues as long as the connection remains less than optimal. So you log in successfully, are logged out, and are then forced to log in. Quite laborsome. It doesn't affect Mastodon accounts - only Bluesky is affected.

Finally good news for those who like the IBMTTS driver and prefer it to Eloquence. The updated release of IBMTTS Driver for NVDA 64-bit is available in the form of a test/ dev build. Give it a try if you're into it:

Whoever has designed Gmail web's To field list contact picker must have been on drugs or something! The moment you type a letter there, your focus moves elsewhere, and the screen reader starts reading the to/ CC/ BCC/ subject fields altogether! Handling that is a bit easier with JAWS, but sending emails in the name of accessibility shouldn't involve this much insanity.

NVDA Links Management add-on v1.0.2 has been released.
What's new?
Added support for attaching the bullet character (•) to the preceding link line, preventing it from being placed on a separate line in Browse Mode when Screen layout is off. This improves navigation in content where links are separated by bullets, such as author lists and inline metadata.

What's new in v13?
• Fixed rate prosody state leaking between utterances (temporary rate changes no longer persist into later speech).
• Improved shutdown stability: prevent ConnectionResetError/BrokenPipeError/OSError traceback spam when the host process is terminated during NVDA shutdown.
• Improved compatibility with audio-cue add-ons (e.g., Earcons): ensure callbacks still fire when an empty audio chunk is produced.
• More responsive stop/cancel: speech stop is now handled asynchronously to avoid blocking NVDA’s main thread.
• Settings panel display fixed.

To all TGSpeechBox users: am I the only one who thinks TGSpeechBox pronounces t like p? It really says t like p in US English! Also its jeh sound in g and j sounds mushy and soft. We should have a more pronounced jeh sound.

WhatsApp (web-based) for desktop, you idiot! Why do you keep throwing me out every two or three days and forcing me to log in again? Do you really think you’re so important that I should spend time logging in every single time? Honestly, there’s no more ridiculous and incompetent company in tech than Meta.

So I ended up designing heading/ list/ element navigation in the display results text area of my add-on only because NVDA doesn't support native HTML display inside add-ons without having to open a separate message box or dialog. Tweaking it took a lot of time, but it works quite reliably now.
