Complicated relationships with doctors.

On one hand, I wouldn't be here if not for empathetic and skilled doctors.

On the other hand, much of this journey may have been avoided if not for the lack of collaboration, expertise, compassion and far too often, actually listening by many doctors.

I'm pretty much past anger as it serves no purpose now.
However there should be an acknowledgement that the system is unnecessarily flawed.
Both a help and a hindrance to healthcare.

My wife has booked a trip to Montreal in June to visit her family and especially her mother who is failing fast.
She was hesitant, but I encouraged to go for it, reminding her that she can always reschedule if required.

Tough call as she is concerned about leaving me alone.

Conversation with my mom is often difficult these days, especially if she calls me when I'm in periods of extreme health meltdown.
Last night, frustrated with her nonsense, I angrily told her so.

WTH dude? She's old and feable.

I feel terrible about it. The reality is that it's as much about my own personal struggles, maybe more so.

Anyway, acknowledging that we are each facing life challenges, I will need to gather my strength, swallow my pride and apologize. 😕
